Georgian Pearl Half Hoop Ring with Chased Details

An incredibly intricate ring from around 1820, this antique Georgian gold ring features 7 graduated natural split pearls with beautiful lustre. The best part of this ring are the shoulders, which feature the delicate hand-carved floral design that so defines the romance of the Regency Era. In excellent antique condition and with such a beautiful hand-carved design, this is a very rare find.

Specifications

No marking in the ring, which is typical of Georgian era pieces. Acid tests to be between 14k and 18k, and due to the historical time period it is most likely 15k as is typical during the era.

US size 6 1/2 - 6 3/4

The pearls measure 5mm in width and the shank thins down to minimum of 1mm wide.

It is not recommended to resize this ring, as this would affect the delicate chasing of the band.

Please note due to the age and construction of this Georgian piece, it is recommended to not wear this ring on a daily basis. Please also avoid any contact with water and chemicals.

In excellent antique condition commensurate with age. Please note that the pearls are all natural and have minor surface imperfections on a few of the pearls. This piece is a pre-owned antique piece, and is therefore not in mint condition. Sold as is.
